Situated in Woodlands road opposite the Halt Bar is one of Glasgow’s more unusual statues. Erected in 1992 it shows the cartoon strip character Lobby Dosser sitting astride Elfie with his six gun drawn having captured Rank Bajin who is sitting behind him in handcuffs.

Sheriff Lobby Dosser of Carlton Creek was the creation of Bud Neill who produced the cartoon strip for the local evening paper the Evening Times. The series ran in the newspaper from 1949 - 1956.
